My last job was co-founder, chairman, and CEO of the parent firm of the current ICC Capital Management, a billion-dollar (maybe it's two or three by now), national, institutional, pension-fund-management company headquartered in Orlando, Florida.

Before that twenty-year stint, I was director of marketing and client relations plus kibbitzing portfolio manager for The Boston Company of the Southeast.

I got a BA at St. Joseph's University (then College) in Philadelphia, majored in English, minored in Philosophy--everybody minored in Philosophy at a Jesuit institution in those days.

Then I went to graduate school in the Department of English at the University of Pennsylvania. I wanted to be a professor, wear a tweed jacket, be a scholar, smoke a pipe, watch the pretty girls. I didn't like the regimen and the ineptness of some of the processes and dropped out.
